School Activities

These are some of the things that go on in our school.

We all get together each week to sing new songs and some of our old favourites.

We have an area with climbing equipment, a slide and a seesaw. Groups of children are allowed to use it during lunch breaks and golden time. It is all built on a soft safety surface.

In Nature's Corner we have a pond, a wormery, a log pile and many different types of trees. We are adding things to it all the time.

A representative from each class is elected to serve on the school council.

The council decided to help children in Eastern Europe. They filled over 120 boxes with small presents and the Rotary Club collected them to send overseas.

We meet on Wednesday after school to try to improve our school environment.

Every Friday each teacher chooses one person who has tried their best all week to go on the golden wall. They sit next to their teacher during assembly on a special chair. In the afternoon they go to the staff room for a tea party with the Head Teacher.

On Monday Morning MK Dons football coaches work with each year group in turn to improve their  skills.

We also have MK Dons Football Club after school on Tuesdays.

Each week children have a golden time session with a choice of activities such as Golden Movies; Golden Cookery.

One child from each homebase is chosen to sit at the Golden Table each day. They are chosen for keeping to the Golden Lunchtime Rules.

During the year we have lots of different visitors to our school such as Fire crew; Theatre Groups; Artists; Dancers; Musicians.

Children are taken on educational visits to places such as Rural Life Museum; Recycling factory; Natural History Museum.
