Our designated area is Kents Hill and the
northern part of Walnut Tree. Parents from other areas can also apply
for a place in line with our admissions policy, as detailed in our
prospectus. Nursery
application forms can be collected from school or you can click on the
link below to download the form. Once completed, please bring the form
back to school so we can add your child's details to our database. You
will then be contacted in the March prior to the September of admission,
to confirm whether you have a place and to give further information.

There is no
entitlement to holiday in term time although up to five days in an
academic year may be classed as authorised absence. If holidays are
taken that are unauthorised these are referred to the Education Welfare
Officer who can impose fixed penalty fines.
Factors such as timing of the absence (holidays taken at the beginning
of term are particularly disruptive to children’s education) and
previous attendance record will be considered before authorising absence
for holiday. Please click on the Absence link to obtain an application
form - this should be completed and passed to the School Office. |

Follow the 'View' link
to see photographs of the items.
Most items of school
uniform are available from the 'Uniform Shop'.
In a bid to ease the congestion for both parents and staff there will
now be designated times when uniform can be purchased. The ‘Uniform
shop’ will be open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings
between 08.50 and 09.10 am.
It would be helpful if you could complete an order form, in advance, for
uniform, and hand it in to your child’s class teacher, in a sealed
envelope with your child’s name and class on the front, or alternatively
post it into the lime green order box on the shelf in reception. We will
endeavor to have the uniform ready for you during the next ‘Uniform
Shop’ opening morning after the form has been handed in. Blank order
forms can be found in the entrance to Nursery, Reception and Key Stage
1 as well as on the left hand side of the Uniform display board (you can
also click on the link on the left to see the order form)
If you are unable to collect your order during the ‘Uniform Shop’
opening times please state this on the order form before you hand it in
as above. In these circumstances the uniform will be distributed to you
via your child at the end of the next Uniform Shop day. Please
can I remind you that all monies coming into school must be in a sealed
envelope with your child’s name, class and the amount enclosed written
on the front. |

office - these can be completed for either the whole half term or on a week by
week basis but must be returned to school by 9am on the Wednesday before
the week that the order relates to. Any queries please contact Cygnet customer services on 01788

Admissions
Information
The
school and Nursery takes children from 3 to 7 years. Children can join our
Nursery in the Autumn Term following their 3rd birthday. They come for either a
morning or afternoon session, five days a week. Children are admitted to
Reception at
Kents Hill School in the Autumn Term following their 4th birthday.
Children start part time and become full-time on agreement between parents and
staff. This is usually within a week or so of starting. If you have a child
who you think might come to Kents Hill it is very helpful for us to have their
name and date of birth as early as possible so we can send you the information
you may need at the right time. If you need more
information about our admissions or would like a copy of our admissions policy
please contact school. |
