All schools have a statutory obligation to provide a free
meal if a pupil is eligible. Free meals are available to any full-time
student who is still at school and eligible.
If you receive Job
Seekers Allowance or Income Support your child may be entitled to a free
packed lunch. The form is in two parts 1 and 2. Please complete and
bring into the school office with the appropriate documentary evidence
as detailed below:
Income
support (IS): photocopy of your current Income Support book or a letter
dated within the last six weeks, confirming your award.
Income Based
Job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA): photocopy of the letter dated within the last
six weeks, confirming your award.
Child Tax
Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and that
your income is less than the current assessment by Her Majesty's Revenue
and Customs - please see

and click on Free School Meals for the current amount.
National
Asylum Seekers Support: photocopy of your Home Office letter, ID card
and Post Office receipt for the current week's NASS payment for Asylum
Seeker Status.
Guarantee
Element of State Pension Credit: photocopy of your letter confirming the
Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit.
The school will
be informed directly by the Education Welfare Team that your
child/children can have a school meal free of charge.
We also offer a Hot Meals
service. A half-termly menu is available from outside of the school
office - these can be completed and paid for all weeks or on a week by
week basis but must be returned to school by 9am on the Wednesday before
